Haslams Complete 10K

  Club stalwart Matthew Haslam and his son James are pictured after completing Sunday's Woodhall Spa 10K run. The pair, who were raising funds for WSCC and for James' study trip to India, both finished in credible times with Haslam senior coming in well within the hour just behind James. Well done Hassy!!!!!

Spa Take 20/20 Crown

The 1st XI won the prestigious Winkworth Cup 20/20 competion on Monday after a thrilling day's cricket at Sleaford. Spa overcame Spalding by 23 runs in the first semi-final of the day with starring roles from Jon Cheer (84) with the bat and Tom Dixon (2-23) and 15-year-old Lewis Holmes (2-26) with the ball. Thrilling Win For Firsts

The 1st XI climbed to second in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League table with a thrilling last ball win over hot favourites Bracebridge Heath on Saturday. Four wickets from Malinga Bandara and a solid 80 from opening batsman Sam Evison were individual highlights however, it was teenager Tom Dixon who stole the headlines by hitting the final ball of the match for four to claim the victory. Firsts Go Third

The 1st XI climbed to third in the Lincs ECB Premier League with a 16 point winning draw at reigning champions Sleaford on Saturday. Asked to bat on a difficult pitch Spa amassed 223-9 thanks largely to two crucial partnerships between Sam Evison (47) and Ricky Lovelace (26) and then a late order one of 96 between Matthew Sargeant (65) and Jack Hughes (39 not out). Malinga Starts With A Bang-dara

Sri Lankan International Malinga Bandara arrived in the Village on Thursday evening and soon settled into life at the Club. On Friday night he began his coaching duties with the Juniors and on Saturday took his place in the 1st XI to help the side claim 16 points at reigning champions Sleaford. It has been a busy two weeks for the players at WSCC. The Junior section of the Club has started its season off well with both the under-15 and under-13 teams recording resounding wins while on the Senior front the 2nd XI recorded its first win of the season and the 1st XI, after two one-sided winning draws, now sit third in the ECB Premier League and face top of the table Bracebridge Heath at Jubilee Park this Saturday (12 noon start). Hypnotist Night Confirmed

Following last night's Committee Meeting the Club can confirm that hypnotist Ian Dee will return to Woodhall Spa with his Comedy Hypnotist Show on Thursday June 5th. Tickets for the show, to be staged in the Pavilion, will be priced at £7.50. It promises to be an enjoyable night for all the family.
