Thrilling Win For Firsts

The 1st XI climbed to second in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League table with a thrilling last ball win over hot favourites Bracebridge Heath on Saturday. Four wickets from Malinga Bandara and a solid 80 from opening batsman Sam Evison were individual highlights however, it was teenager Tom Dixon who stole the headlines by hitting the final ball of the match for four to claim the victory. Meanwhile, the 2nd XI claimed five points when they came across a powerful Boston side and on Sunday the Wanderers 1st XI made it two  wins from two in Division One of the Lincoln and District League with a convincing win over Nettleham. 15-year-old Lewis Holmes took three wickets and then top scored with an impressive, maiden unbeaten half-century.

The Junior sides have also been in action with the under 15, under 13 and under 11 teams all claiming impressive victories.
