Malinga Starts With A Bang-dara

Sri Lankan International Malinga Bandara arrived in the Village on Thursday evening and soon settled into life at the Club.

On Friday night he began his coaching duties with the Juniors and on Saturday took his place in the 1st XI to help the side claim 16 points at reigning champions Sleaford. While Malinga failed to trouble the scorers with the bat he was in fine form when Spa took to the field by firstly executing an excellent run-out before claiming three vital wickets with his leg spin including the prize scalp of former New Zealand Test ace Tim Mackintosh.

Malinga will now fully settle in to his role in assisting Head Coach Paul Timby with the Senior players and continuing his work with the ever impressive WSCC Juniors.
