Woodhall Spa U15 On To Next Round Of Cup

Woodhall Spa U15 visited Gorse Lane on the 16th May to play against Grantham U15 in the County Cup 2nd round with a very good performance beating Grantham bowling them out for 20 runs. Debut for the U15 for Grace Smith & Iestyn Jeffreys, Grace who has come through the Ladies programme has really shown how you can step up through hard work and training plans to slot into junior hardball cricket. The night really belonged to the bowling and fielding attack with Alex Barker taking out the two openers and Freddie Bailey going through the batting taking a massive six wickets for only three runs from his three overs (3-0-3-6). Moving swiftly on to the batting Alex & captain Oliver Carr chased down 21 runs within 3.5 overs with Alex scoring 12 and Oliver 4.
