History Made With Woodhall Spa Ladies

A piece of history for Woodhall Spa Cricket Club with their Ladies team playing their first ever hardball game on Sunday after the original games were called off due to the weather. What an amazing scene set at Mulsanne Park with Nettleham Cricket Club being amazing and fantastic hosts. Woodhall came away victorious in both games with their opening game v Lindum CC where Woodhall scored 138/1 giving a net score of 333 with sisters Jade and Charlie scoring 27 and 22 runs respectively. Up stepped an amazing fielding display holding Lindum to 33/16 leaving a net score of 163. Highlights for bowling Grace getting 3 wickets and Milly getting 6. The next game was against Nettleham who put Woodhall into bat and once more top score from Jade who got 22 backed up by Lucy and Grace getting 9 each leaving Woodhall setting a net score of 272. Nettleham fell short scoring a net score of 214 with some tight bowling from all bowlers and Milly once more leading the way with two wickets. Jade also getting two with Lucy and Grace one each. A big shout out to every player that took part and all added to the victories Claire, Cary’s, Nick and Neve.
